Sam Hunt just released the video for his current hit single, “Downtown’s Dead.” The clip was shot in Mexico a couple hours north of Mexico City in a very rural part of the country. Sam said it was “a really unique, cool little town that was sort of positioned around this old volcano, and it’s a beautiful country and really great people and a really authentic cultural experience for us“. Sam also said that the destination video thing was an excuse to travel since he’s had the travel bug over the past couple years so he enjoyed getting to see that part of Mexico and meeting some new people.
“Downtown’s Dead” is the second release from Sam’s next studio album, although no release date has been announced.
Sam Hunt continues on the road with Luke Bryan playing a few stadium shows this summer. The What Makes You Country tour stops at BC Place in October. Don’t forget that the 93 Days of Luke Bryan Ticket Giveaways continues with chances to win by listening for that cue to call on JRfm!
